A word about FY24 balances on the OBI dashboard

During the period of time when both FY23 and FY24 are open, the balances appearing for FY24 results are inaccurate. This is because FY23 year end must be complete before we rollforward the FY23 ending balances as FY24 beginning balances. These new balances will be available in OBI on August 8th. Beginning July 1st, the following message will be posted at the top of the GL Funds Available and Student Funds Available dashboards:

When viewing FY24 results for unrestricted, designated, student organization, and gift sources, please remember the FY23 activity will not be rolled forward until August 8, 2023, after June activity is finished.

• On the Traditional view, the YTD Actuals column will reflect only the FY23 beginning balance along with FY24 activity (it will not include FY23 activity).
• On the Revenue/Expense view, the Beg Balance column will show the FY23 beginning balance (it will not include FY23 activity).
